BEAT London at a glance

BEAT London runs as a members’ club and late-night venue at 48 Margaret Street, W1, a few minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus. It opens late on Friday and Saturday nights for house and electronic music with resident and guest DJs, runs a smart door for over-18s, and listings put its standing capacity at roughly 250 to 300. Non-members get in with a table booked through us.

The building has one of London’s longest nightlife histories. The Speakeasy Club opened here in 1966 and became one of the city’s best-known late-night music rooms; BEAT now runs the space as an industrial-chic club with a sound system built for DJs rather than live bands. It is smaller and more musical than the big Mayfair table clubs: the crowd comes for the DJs as much as for the tables.

Opening nights, door times and the line-up change through the year, and the club is also hired out for private events, so we confirm the night, the DJ and the table minimum for your date before you commit.

Where BEAT London is

Margaret Street runs parallel to Oxford Street on the Marylebone and Fitzrovia side, between Regent Street and Great Portland Street. Oxford Circus is the nearest Tube, about four minutes on foot; Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road (Elizabeth line) are within ten minutes. Black cabs and cars can drop you at the door on Margaret Street.

Music and nights

House and electronic music, with the club’s own DJs and international guests on the main nights. It is a dance-floor room: if your group wants to sit and talk, ask us for a table away from the booth; if you came for the DJ, we ask for one with a view of it.

Who BEAT London suits

Groups who want a reserved table, a host looking after them and drinks to the value of the minimum spend, rather than queueing at the door. Tell us the occasion (a birthday, a celebration, a client night) and the size of the group, and we will match you to the right table.

Door and entry

As at every London club, entry is at the door’s discretion. Bring valid photo ID, dress smartly and arrive together at your table time. We send the dress code and arrival details with your booking confirmation, and the BEAT London dress code page covers what to plan for.
