Epsom, Henley and Goodwood 2027: the UK summer hospitality calendar

Epsom, Royal Ascot, Wimbledon, Henley and Goodwood make up Britain’s 2027 summer hospitality season, and it is short and crowded. Between early June and late July 2027 there is a Classic racing weekend, Royal Ascot, a rowing regatta, a Grand Slam and a motoring festival, and by September the season closes with a vintage motor race meeting. This guide puts the dates in order so that a company or private group can plan a diary instead of reacting to sell-out notices.

We checked each date on the organiser’s own site where we could. Where a date is not yet announced, we say so.

The 2027 UK summer calendar at a glance

• Epsom Derby Festival: Friday 4 June (Oaks, Ladies Day) and Saturday 5 June 2027 (Derby Day).
• Royal Ascot: Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 June 2027.
• Wimbledon: Monday 28 June to Sunday 11 July 2027.
• Henley Royal Regatta: Tuesday 29 June to Sunday 4 July 2027.
• Goodwood Festival of Speed: 15 to 18 July 2027.

Early June: the Epsom Derby Festival

The season opens at Epsom Downs in Surrey. The Jockey Club lists the 2027 Betfred Derby Festival as two days: Ladies Day with the Oaks on Friday 4 June, and Derby Day on Saturday 5 June. The Oaks is a Classic for fillies, and the Derby is the better known of the two.

Epsom comes first, and for a group planning backwards from June it is the soonest event in the diary. Hospitality at the course ranges from private boxes to seated dining suites. Mid June: Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot follows within days, from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 June 2027 at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire. It has the strictest dress rules of the summer, and they differ by enclosure. Because Epsom and Ascot are only about ten days apart, a group that wants both should decide the order of priority early. They draw on similar guests and similar diaries.

Late June and early July: Wimbledon and Henley

Two of the summer’s longest events overlap. The Championships at Wimbledon run from Monday 28 June to Sunday 11 July 2027, and the 2027 edition marks 150 years of the Championships. Henley Royal Regatta runs from Tuesday 29 June to Sunday 4 July 2027 on the Thames, with racing starting in the morning, typically between 8.30am and 9.30am.

The two can be combined in one week for a group travelling in, since Henley is a day on the river and Wimbledon is a day in south-west London. For Henley, the regatta says popular experiences sell out well in advance. You can enquire about Henley Royal Regatta 2027 on VIPListed.

Mid July: Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Festival of Speed returns on 15 to 18 July 2027 in the grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex. It is built around the hillclimb, with cars of every era, and it is the first of three Goodwood meetings in the season. General tickets are sold by Goodwood itself and go on sale in November, with no day announced; we arrange hospitality. 27 to 31 July: Qatar Goodwood Festival

Goodwood’s five-day summer race meeting follows at the end of July. Goodwood has confirmed Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 July 2027. Hospitality is arranged on request: Qatar Goodwood Festival 2027.

September: Goodwood Revival

The summer closes with the Goodwood Revival on 17 to 19 September 2027. It is a three-day vintage motor race meeting in which the crowd dresses in period costume. See the Goodwood Revival 2027 page for the listing.

Dress codes across the summer

Dress varies more than guests expect, and it is worth knowing before you invite anyone. Royal Ascot sets a different code for each enclosure, and Epsom applies a formal code on Derby Day in the Queen Elizabeth II Stand while leaving the Grandstand without one. We cover both in our guides. For Henley, Wimbledon and Goodwood, check the organiser’s own guidance nearer the date, because we have not set out a dress code for them here.

For a mixed group, the simplest rule is to ask for the dress code in writing at the same time as you confirm the day. It is easier to hire morning dress in March than in the first week of June.

How to plan around the calendar

• Pick your priority event first. Epsom, Royal Ascot and Wimbledon draw the most corporate interest, so decide those before the smaller dates.
• Mind the clashes. Wimbledon and Henley overlap, and Epsom and Ascot sit close together. A client list that attends both will be stretched.
• Match the event to the guest. Racing suits a long day with food. The Festival of Speed suits a more relaxed, outdoor group. Wimbledon suits a smaller party.
• Allow for dress codes. They differ widely between events, and between enclosures at the same event.
• Ask early. Organisers say popular options sell out in advance, and we do not know in advance which ones.

What is still to be confirmed

One item on the calendar is not fully settled. For the Festival of Speed, Goodwood has said its general tickets go on sale in November but has not given a day. Wimbledon has already run its public ballot for 2027; hospitality is what we arrange there. We update our guides as organisers confirm details.

How hospitality works, and what to expect

Corporate hospitality in the UK is generally sold by the day, with a seat or table, food and drink, and a base at the event. Packages vary by organiser.
