Get started

Knicks games are among the most sought-after nights in New York, and the same building is home to the Rangers. We are not a box office and do not sell standard tickets and we do not publish prices. We arrange premium seats and hospitality at Madison Square Garden on request, game by game, for both teams, including suites and group bookings. This guide explains how that works, what to decide first and how to plan a group evening in the 2026/27 season.

Two teams, one building

The Knicks play basketball and the Rangers play ice hockey, and both play their home games at Madison Square Garden in New York. The venue lists Knicks and Rangers fixtures among its upcoming events, and it says the building offers multiple high-end options for premium hospitality, including luxury suites. The 2026/27 season is under way, so each team’s fixture list is the place to start.

The two sports feel very different from the seats. Basketball is fast and played close to the floor. Hockey is played at pace across a larger surface, and many people prefer a position a little back from the glass so they can follow the whole play. Choosing the sport first, then the kind of seat, is the quickest way to a sensible shortlist.

How premium seats are arranged

Premium seating at the Garden is not one product, and the venue’s own site is the reference for what exists. What we do is help you choose among the options for the specific game you want, and confirm what is available for that date when you ask.

The way it works with us is simple and is the same for either team.

  • Per date. Seats are bought for the individual game you choose, not as a season package. You pick the date, the opponent and the kind of seat.
  • Transferred to you. Once the seats are secured, they are transferred to the client’s account, so they arrive in your own name through the normal channel for the venue.
  • Through official channels. We book through official channels, and the total is confirmed in writing before you pay.
  • Groups of nine or more. Larger parties are handled on request, because seating a bigger group together needs more notice and a different kind of space.

We do not publish prices in articles. They depend on the opponent, the day of the week and the section, and we give them to you in writing for the game you have chosen.

Choosing the right game

Not every home game is the same evening out. A few things are worth deciding before you ask.

  • The opponent. Games against long-standing rivals and the strongest teams in the league draw the most interest. A game against a less fashionable opponent can be easier to arrange for a larger party.
  • The day. Weekend games suit leisure travellers. Weekday games suit client entertaining, particularly when the group is already in the city for work.
  • The time of season. The earlier you ask, the wider the choice of dates. Dates near holidays and games that matter for the standings are worth asking about sooner.
  • Who is coming. A family with children and a group of clients want different things from the same building. Tell us who is coming and we will point you to the right kind of seat.

Planning the evening around the game

Game nights are busy around the Garden. Plan to arrive in good time, allow for security at the entrance, and book dinner either well before the start or for after the game, not squeezed between the two. The venue publishes entrance and accessibility information on its own site, so check it for your section before you travel.

If you are travelling from outside the United States, think about the sequence of the trip as well as the game. Jet lag and a late finish are a poor combination on the first night, so many groups put the game on the second or third evening. The Garden also hosts concerts and other events through the year, and premium hospitality for those can be arranged too: see our Madison Square Garden premium hospitality listing.

The Rangers as a separate request

Hockey has its own rhythm and its own calendar, so we treat it as a separate enquiry. If you would like to see the Rangers rather than, or as well as, the Knicks, the detail is on our New York Rangers 2026/27 listing, and you can ask for both on the same trip. Two games in the same week is a good way to see the building twice.

What to settle before you send the enquiry

A few answers make the first reply much more useful, and save a round of messages.

  • Your date range. Give two or three possible games rather than one. If the first choice is not workable, the next one can be looked at straight away.
  • The size of the group. Say how many adults and how many children are coming. Parties of nine or more are handled on request and may need a different kind of space from a party of four.
  • Seats together. Say whether you must sit together, or whether two pairs close to each other would do. That affects what can be offered.
  • The name on the account. Seats are transferred to the client’s account, so we need to know whose account it is before the transfer.
  • Accessibility needs. If anyone in the party needs step-free access or accessible seating, say so at the start, because those seats are handled separately.

When to ask

Ask as early as you can for larger groups, popular opponents and dates near a holiday. Smaller groups often have more flexibility. We do not describe availability in an article, because it changes day to day, so the honest answer on any particular game comes when you send us the date.

Tell us the team, the date or dates you are considering, the number in your party and the kind of evening you want. We will come back with the options and the total in writing. See also basketball hospitality, or our guide to match-day hospitality in London for how the levels compare in another city.
